|Abstract:||The collection consists of an old cash journal, 1870-1883, that deals with sales, prices and notes giving names of men in many Georgia towns and a few in South Carolina and Alabama who owned stores. The price of cotton, corn, wheat, rice, oats, potatoes, chickens, eggs, butter, etc., are listed. Farm equipment, including the sale of horses, the price of dried and uncured animal hides are noted as well Also there are listed those men who owe money as well as the paid accounts. This journal lists freight charges for items sent by train. Some pages are torn out.|
