Biographical/Historical Note

Born in 1828, James McQueen McIntosh was an American soldier who served as a brigadier general in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Noted as an aggressive and popular leader of cavalry, he was killed in action at the Battle of Pea Ridge on March 7, 1862
