Abstract:The collection consists of two volumes. The first volume is a typescript of the book, Slavery Time: When I Was Chillun Down on Master's Plantation, published by Beehive Press in 1973. The title on the typescript is, Interviews with Former Slaves. The second volume is also a typescript of the book, A Treasury of Georgia Folklore, published by Cherokee Publishing Company, Atlanta, Georgia, 1972. The second volume includes three illustrative bars of music and two ink sketches.

Dr. Charles Thomas Waller was a professor in the English Department at the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia.

Dr. Ronald Gene Killion was a professor in the Division of Social Studies, Limestone College, Gaffney, South Carolina.
