Miss Charlotte Newton was the Chief of Acquisitions for the University Libraries.


Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of lists of books checked, notes, correlations, and a report given by Miss Charlotte Newton at the College and Reference Section of the Georgia Library Association in the Fall of 1937. The report concerned a study of the reading background of freshman college students at the University of Georgia in 1936 conducted by Miss Charlotte Newton and Miss Elizabeth LaBoone.
