The papers include correspondence, manuscripts, printed materials, photographs, and clippings documenting Rutherford's activities as principal of the Lucy Cobb Institute (1880-1920), historian general of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) (1911-1916), the Children of the Confederacy, and with the Georgia Division of the UDC.|
