Abstract:The collection consists of the papers of Robert Preston Brooks from ca. 1900-1960. The papers include correspondence, writings, and speeches by Brooks, clippings, research notes and materials, printed material, financial documents, and scrapbooks. While the materials document Brooks' duties and activities with the University of Georgia, a large part of the collection deals with his research and writings on economics, Georgia history, agriculture, and the plantation system.
