The Georgia Authors Club was started by Nan Carpenter from UGA's Comparative Literature Department. The club was an informal organization with no dues, committees, or organization except for a president. They met seven times a year to listen to speakers, covered subjects like literature, art, history, science, politics, and world affairs.
This collection consists of letters, membership lists, and accounts from the Georgia Authors Club that concern obtaining speakers for the club, deciding where to meet, interaction of club members, and other typical club affairs.
