Peter W. Crickard volunteered to fight for the U.S. army during World War I in 1917, and served in France until 1919. He entered the Railway Mail Service in 1921, where he worked for thirty-five years until his retirement in 1954. In 1965 he began his compiliation of genealogical research on the Crickard family.
This collection consists of printed material, postcards, and correspondence from Peter W. Crickard, and mainly documents his travels in France after World War I and throughout the United States and his genealogy research.
