The following is a transcription of the text on the verso of the photograph:
Rev. W. H. Bridges (at about 35 years old), and second wife Mary Angeline Randolph (about 27 years old) (b. June 3, 1845) Lizzie, Judge and Mattie (their fourth child was Claudia b. Jan 11, 1874 who was mother of J. B. Tanner, Sr. of Tanner Lumber company, Athens, Ga.)
[Thus the Bridges are] the maternal grandfather and grandmother of Jonnie Bryson Tanner, Sr. (B. June 28, 1906)
She (Mary Angeline Randolph- referred to as Angeline) was fifth child of Hilliard Judge Randolph and Elizabeth (Eliza) G. Harrison. Hilliard Judge Randolph was son of John "Capt. Jack" Randolph of Jackson Co., Ga., who was son of Joseph Randolph (Randal), who was son of William Randolph, a Revolutionary soldier (see old manuscript book - Va. State Library vol 41 page 337) who was son of Nicholas Randolph, who was son of William Randolph (d. 1703) Surveyor General of the Colonies.
Rev. Bridges and Angeline Bridges were great grandfather and great grandmother of Walter Rhett Tanner, Sr. (b. May 16, 1938) and Johnie Bryson Tanner, Jr (b. June 17, 1935).
and great great granfather of J. B. Tanner III (b. June 5, 1961)
and Terrie Jo Lyn Tanner (b. July 16, 1962)
and Water Rhett Tanner, Jr. (b. Sept 30, 1970 and d. July 8, 1989)
Rev. Bridges first wife was Martha King (divorced) who later married a Cox and the daughter (Alpharetta or Amarilla) (of Rev Bridges and Martha?) (Martha had remarried when Rev. Bridges returned from the Civil War), married a Bartow Dobbs of Cobb county, Ga. Had several children: Howards, Clyde, Clara (m. Willia Vaughan), Liza (m. Mark Jackson), and Julian[?].
