|Quantity:||17.7 Linear feet (13 document boxes, 5 cartons, 2 flat boxes, 3 oversized boxes.)|
|Abstract:||This collection is a compliation of family materials, ranging from genealogical charts to various baby books to decades-long correspondence to plaques and artifacts. The materials range from the 1900s to 1980s; it is very much a twentieth century collection reflecting the activities of a family with deep roots in Georgia.|
The Dorsey family is a deeply-rooted, uniquely Georgian family that was important in the South during the twentieth century. Many family members went to the University of Georgia, and they seemed to have been strongly entrenched in the Greek system.
