Eliza Frances Bradley Kenney's father-in-law, John James N. Kenney, fought with Company G of the Georgia 1st Infantry Regiment and died at Crampton's Gap, Maryland. Her uncle, Francis Marion Bradley, died of disease in Company B of the 16th Infantry Regiment of Georgia on 19 January 1863 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Another uncle, James M. Bradley, just released from a POW camp in a prisoner exchange and recovering from his wounds, took his brother Francis' body home. Yet another uncle, Thomas J. Bradley, fought in Company B of the Georgia 16th Infantry Regiment and was killed at Gettysburg, PA, on 3 July 1863. Every male member of Eliza Frances Bradley Kenney's extended family that was of age served in the Confederate Army, and most were casualties of the war.
