The collection consists of one letter dated Office Post Commissary, Palmetto, Georgia, October 7, 1864, “Dear Cousin Rush.” Excerpts from the letter: “…the Army of Tennessee is not whipped yet… there are thousands of gallant-hearts still rallying around our smoked and tattered flag who are not whipped yet and are not going to be whipped.”
