Biographical/Historical Note

Albert Rhyme-Alexander is a Georgia native who lived in Florida at the time of his gift and most likely was a descendent of the Alexander and Word family lines.

The descendants of Hooper and Mary Amelia Hutchins Alexander also include Wallace MacFarland (1809-1859), born in Boone, NC, resided in Roswell, GA and married circa 1850.

John Word, Sr., of Glamorganshire, Wales. John Word emigrated to New Kent County, Virginia circa 1652.

The silver coin ladle was made circa 1700 of Maundy Thursday coins.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of a booklet of the descendants of Hooper and Mary Amelia Hutchins Alexander (entitled "Alexander Family Reunion, 1995") ; a daguerreotype of Wallace MacFarland, made circa 1846; a silver coin ladle made circa 1700 of Maundy Thursday coins ; and the Word family tree which belonged to John Word, Sr.
