Biographical/Historical Note

Willie Maude Adams of Commerce (Ga.) graduated from the State Normal School, Athens (Ga.) in 1922. The State Normal School was established in 1891 to train Georgians to be rural teachers. In 1929 the institution's name changed to the Coordinate College.
