Margaret Lavinia Campbell Kelley (1806-1877), married Rev. John Kelley, a Methodist minister, in 1833, resided in Tennessee.


Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of a diary of Margaret Lavinia Campbell Kelley and a few Kelley family papers from 1861-1864. The diary (1862-1864) describes the work of her husband John and son David Campbell both ministers; Union troop activities around her home in Tennessee during the Civil War; and farm activities.
