Abstract:The collection mainly consists of correspondence from George F. Walker to his mother in Lewisburg, Tennessee during his service with military intelligence in the U.S. Army from 1944-1945. Due to the level of security surrounding his position, Walker's letters do not discuss any military activities. The letters describe his service in England, France, and Luxembourg; the locales; living conditions; places he visited; and people he met.
