Contains mostly correspondence relating to residential real estate development in Augusta and Athens, Georgia. Correspondents include Thomas H. Dozier, James Howard Dozier, W.B. Dozier, and Olin A. Dozier. Of particular interest is correspondence relating to the hiring of balloon ascensionists as a publicity gimmick.|
The Dozier Land Company was an Athens, Georgia, company that focused on land and real estate development in Athens and Augusta. It was formed from the merger of the American Land Company (Athens, GA) and the National Land Company (Augusta, GA). The Dozier Land company closed its doors around 1955 after being bought out by the Tanner Company.
