|Abstract:||The collection consists of several items relating to William Pierce (1753-1789). Included are: 1.) the original copies of 11 letters written to Albert B. Saye from June 1, 1936 to March 31, 1937, by descendants of Pierce regarding the location of extant writings by him; 2.) eleven typed pages of extracts from the writings of William Pierce, with citations to sources; 3.) a three-page typed bibliography on Georgia's delegates to the Constitutional Convention; 4.) seventeen pages of manuscript notes on Pierce's Notes copied with permission by Saye on April 7, 1937 from the photostatic copy (then available in the Connecticut State Library; 5.) a 17-page photocopy of an address delivered by Pierce at Christ Church, Savannah, Georgia on July 4, 1788.|
