Biographical/Historical Note

Atlantic Coast Line Railroad (reporting mark ACL) existed between 1898 and July 1, 1967. In 1900, the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company of Virginia consolidated with Norfolk and Carolina Railroad Company and others to form Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company; Brunswick and Western Railroad Company assumed by Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in 1902.
