Abstract:The collection consists of correspondence of V. Eugene Fuller from 1942-1945. The bulk of the letters are written by Fuller to his father H.W. Fuller of Monroe, North Carolina. Fuller's letters discuss his navy flight training at the Naval Air Stations in Norman, Oklahoma and Pensacola, Florida and his assignments in San Diego and San Francisco, California. The letters include descriptions of the different areas, duty flights, and his life aboard ship. The collection also contains correspondence to Fuller from friends and family.
