Biographical/Historical Note

William Allen, a Revolutionary War soldier, previously lived in the Camden, South Carolina area, but he was living in Franklin County, Georgia in 1827 when these affidavits were filed. William York, also a Revolutionary War soldier, served in Captain Henry Dickinson's Company in the 1st NC Regiment. York resided in Hawkins County, Tennessee before moving to Franklin County, Georgia.
