The collection consists of three letters: dated June 9, 1939, “Dear Mr. Tupper,” signed “H. J. Pearce,” regarding a letter Tupper wrote on June 7; dated Atlanta, Georgia, June 14, 1939, to “Mr. Eldin Burton,” signed “Mrs. A. W. Van Hoose,” regarding Ellison Van Hoose; dated Macon, Georgia, June 16, 1939, “Mr. Samuel Tupper, Jr.,” signed “Mrs. Glover,” regarding Ellison Van Hoose. Also included is a copy of an obituary resume of Ellison Van Hoose's life, and a portrait of Van Hoose inscribed “To Dick, with many kind regards from His sincerely, Ellison Van Hoose, April 21, 1903.”
