Genealolgical information is also included regarding the Yancey family. This includes a copy of a letter by Benjamin Cudworth Yancey, of Atlanta, Ga. to his brother-in-law, Dr. James Sherwood Hamilten, of Athens, written from Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

Biographical/Historical Note

Caro Yancey attended Tuskegee Female College from 1856-1858 She married Dr. Hugh H. Harris, son 'of Sampson W. Harris, congressman from Alabama and had five children, Sallie, Yancey, Hugh, Pauline, and Mary Belle [Maribelle?].

Maribelle Harris Fink married William Nelson Fink and had one child.
