Biographical/Historical Note

George Magruder Battey III, of Atlanta was a historian of Floyd and Fulton counties and various Georgia families. He was also a member of a prominent Georgia clan.

Adlai Ewing Stevenson (1900-1965) was a governor, diplomat, and two-time candidate for president.


Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of carbon typescripts of a number of his writings and various correspondences as well as some incoming letters from Adlai E. Stevenson and governors of Virginia and Alabama.
