Biographical/Historical Note

James Barrow was born in North Carolina and served in the Revolutionary War. He settled near Milledgeville (Georgia) and acquired a considerable amount of land. He served as a soldier at Brandywine, Germantown and Valley Forge. He died in Baldwin, Ga.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of two portions of Barrow's diary (the first is a Xerox only), his will, a typescript of his will, and several photo albums.
