|Title:||Nellie Ellsworth notebook|
|Quantity:||0.05 Linear feet (1 folder; housed with minor collections MS 1649 to MS 1656)|
Nellie Ellsworth wrote her diary from 1885 to 1887. She appears to be taking classes of some sort - most of the notebook has account statements, but they are noted as examples from certain pages of an unknown book. She appears to be noting oral examinations on the second week of June in 1887. It seems possible Nellie was taking book-keeping, history, grammar, etymologyy, music, and spelling and reading.
The collection consists of an exercise notebook, mainly for accounting. Also included are a number of poems and a musical piece. The very back has addition, cursive practice, and geometrical excercises.
