Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of a diary of Annie Blount of Augusta, Georgia from 1873-1893. The diary was actually started in 1890 and contains sporadic entries. She recorded some entries from earlier dates from scraps of information she kept. The entries mainly discuss family life and because most were recorded on the Sabbath, discuss the sermons she heard at church and her religious thoughts.
