Biographical/Historical Note

Willis Henry Bocock (1865-1947) was for 56 years Professor of Greek at the University of Georgia. For 55 of those years, he was department head, filling the chair of Milledge Professor of Ancient Languages. Bocock served as the University of Georgia graduate school's first dean from 1910-1928.

Scope and Content Note

The collection consists of two University of Georgia class books dated 1905-1906 and 1919-1920 which were probably kept by W. H. Bocock. Subjects covered are mainly French and English.
