In 1904, T. B. Cooper completed and had bound in seven volumes his massive manuscript translation and abridgement of Lewis Ellies DuPin's "A New History of Ecclesiastical Writers" (London, 1693). He had begun this work, according to the note in Volume I, at Ogechee, Georgia, 26 April, 1881. The manuscripts show one man's attempts to coordinate and assimilate a massive amount of the world's ecclesiastical and social history.
