|Abstract:||The collection consists of 600 stereographic cards with scenes of the world, plus two viewers. Views of various countries are depicted as well as views of different occupations. These were printed by Keystone View Company. Also included is the book "A Trip Around the World through the Telebinocular" edited by Burton Holmes, which has a title list, stereograph poems, an extensive subject classification listing, a brief biographical glossary, a geography parallels chart, and an index.|
In turn of the century America, the Keystone View Company was a major distributor of stereographic images. Located in Meadville, Pennsylvania, the business help supply educational and comic/sentimental stereoviews as well as stereoscopes. It led the world in stereographic sales by 1905. Founded in 1892, the company closed in 1963.
